Jason Jordan Segel is an American actor, comedian, and singer-songwriter. He is known for his work on the comedy show TheDailyBump and his work as a writer, creator, and performer. Jason Segel is best known for his roles in the films Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I Love You, Man and The Five-Year Engagement. Early Life
Jason Segel was born on October 21, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of writer and director Harold Ramis and actress Erica Gimpel. He was raised in Los Angeles, California by his parents. Segel has a younger sister named Claire. Segel’s parents divorced when he was young, and he lived with his father; however, he moved back to live with his mother in 1999.
Seigel attended Beverly Hills High School before moving to New York City at the age of 17 to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute (LSTI). After graduating from LSTI in 2000, Segel began studying acting at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City. At age 21, Segel moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career.

Seigel started his professional acting career in 2002 with a guest role in the Disney Channel series That’s So Raven. He played Jason Hanna on the Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana from 2006 to 2008. He also appeared in other television shows such as The O.C., Bones and Freaks and Geeks. Segel made his film debut in 2003 with a small part on the comedy film Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
