If you consider yourself one of them, then this guide you are about to make is for you! This step-by-step guide to drawing a panther will let you have fun while drawing this legendary predator. How to draw a panther

Step 1:

In this first step of our guide on drawing a panther, we will focus on the top of the animal. Using a curved line, we’ll draw the top of the head, extending to the neck and back before moving on to the panther’s curved tail.

Once you have drawn this line, you can draw the front of the face. Then you can draw details like the eyes, the nose, and the beginning of the mouth. This will complete this step, and you’ll be ready to move on!

Step 2:

You have finished outlining the top part of your panther design, so now we will start adding some details to this part. First, use another curved line to complete the tail. Then from the base of the tail, you can extend another curved line to form the back of the leg. At the base of this portion will be four curved stripes for the toes.

Step 3:

In this step of our guide on how to draw a panther, you will finish the animal’s hind legs. Using the line you drew to start the back leg in the previous step, you can extend another line coming from the leg. The leg will get a little thicker as it becomes the thigh higher.

You can then use a few more curved lines to form the panther’s belly. Finally, you can draw the other hind leg. It will look much like the previous one but later show the panther walking.

Step 4:

Your panther drawing is already starting to look great! Next, we will draw the first front leg in this step. The lower half of this leg will look a lot like the lower half of the hind legs, but it will be shorter than they were. That’s all you need for this step, and in the next, we’ll finish the last details before coloring your drawing!

Step 5:

This fifth step of our guide to drawing a panther will be to finish the drawing so that you are ready to have fun coloring! The first thing to do in this step is to draw the last step. You’ve already drawn three of them, and while this leg will look similar to the others, it will look slightly different due to its angle.

This paw will be slightly raised to illustrate that this panther is walking. nonce Once you have drawn this leg, you can finish the face and the head. To do this, you can first draw a small ear on it.  Then you will draw the jaw, extending it to the mouth full of sharp teeth. Then some minor details will be added to the face and body to finish.

That will suffice for the details of this guide, but before we continue, feel free to add a few! Maybe you could draw a background to show what kind of environment this panther is hiding in. What creative touches can you think of to complete this drawing?

Step 6:

This last step of your panther drawing is where you can have fun coloring your drawing! Panthers usually have a rich black color, which we’re looking for in our reference image.
